Buzzo totally loves his ball. I once brought another chick in from the aviary for him to have friend, but even after 2 months he showed her zero interest and just carried on playing with his toys. Weird bird LOL
We built our small aviary in 2007 after deciding that 14 budgies were just a few too many to keep in the house. The move to breeding came naturally as it was something we had done in the past until we found out that our eldest son was allergic to birds.
We are a family of 'pet people' with a multitude of different pets. We have 3 dogs, 5 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 9 cockatiels, 2 Hahns Macaws, 4 dwarf hamsters, a leopard gecko, some goldfish/guppies and lots of budgies.
We are very dedicated to our animals, and especially to our birds as they bring such colour, life and joy to us
It has been said that we spoil our budgies with love, toys and treats, but that's ok. So long as the birds are happy and healthy, then we are happy too.
It started with a few pet-shop bought, untame adults:
We quickly found that the quality and life expectancy of the birds we were buying wasn't very good at all, so I took the best of the ones we had managed to buy and decided to start my own strain of budgies as pets for us and for others.
